Jeff, Sarah, Jen, and Kate ate pizza in a ping-pong pizza restaurant last night night, mere hours after Sasha and Malia Obama stopped in for some cheese pizzas. This bodes very well for the journey ahead.

Hit Book - Cross Country
It’s really starting people!!!! Today, Kate, Jenn, and Sarah meet me in DC. All day long, we’ll be making a Hit Book themed “Cross Country” at Transformer. Hit Book is a zine project by Hit Factorie in Bklyn in which we make one book in one day. We’ll distribute these zines tonight at Comet - a ping pong pizza restaurant and bar - and along our travels. Twister Meets The Empire Builder
On 27 May 1931, the Great Northern Railway’s crack transcontinental passenger train The Empire Builder was heading eastbound from Seattle to Chicago. Less than an hour out of Fargo, North Dakota, disaster would strike.

Welcome. Empire Builder is a cross-country, multi-day, artist adventure on the Amtrak line of the same name. We will be converging on the train from cities around the country to meet, conspire, create, and interact while riding the rails to attend the Open Engagement Conference in Portland, OR on May 14th.
